GCP Network Engineer -6 Month Contract - Hybrid (Manchester)
We are seeking an experienced Senior GCP Network Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise-grade network solutions with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
This role will act as the organisation's GCP networking subject-matter expert, guiding and upskilling existing engineers who are primarily experienced in Azure and AWS, while ensuring secure, scalable, and highly available connectivity across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, implement, and operate GCP networking architectures, including VPC design, hybrid connectivity, and secure interconnects.
* Act as the technical authority for GCP networking, providing design guidance and peer reviews to the wider network team.
* Design and manage VPCs, subnets, routing, and Firewall rule & Cloud VPN (HA VPN) deployments
What You Will Ideally Bring
* GCP VPC architecture and design, Shared VPC and VPC peering,HA VPN implementations
* CCNP (Enterprise, Data Center, Service Provider) or equivalent experience.
* Strong knowledge of: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, Routing and switching concepts, Network security principles
