Job Overview
We’re looking for a Digital Designer to join our in‑house Creative & Digital team at Screwfix. Reporting to the Digital Design Manager, you’ll turn creative concepts into high‑quality digital assets that elevate how customers experience our brand online. You’ll design across web, email and app, using Figma as your primary tool and supporting with animation for email where needed.
Responsibilities
* Adapt creative concepts into digital‑ready assets for web, email, and app.
* Design high‑quality digital content in Figma, following brand, UX, and performance principles.
* Support email campaigns by creating animations using After Effects or Adobe Animate.
* Partner with Marketing, E‑Commerce, CRM, and the creative team to deliver seamless, high‑impact campaigns.
* Review and refine digital assets to ensure quality, accuracy, and brand consistency.
* Manage design files, templates, and versioning in Figma.
* Bring fresh ideas, new techniques, and creative thinking to the team.
* Share knowledge and support junior designers with tools, techniques, and best practice.
Qualifications
* Experience designing for web, email, and mobile app platforms.
* Strong hands‑on Figma skills across pages, banners, templates, and UI layouts.
* Understanding of responsive design and UX principles.
* Familiarity with After Effects or Adobe Animate for email animation (bonus, not essential).
* Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat).
* A sharp eye for detail and commitment to high‑quality output.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver at pace.
* Curiosity, adaptability, and a passion for digital creativity.
