Overview
Directorate Manager Trauma and Orthopaedics – Planned Care Directorate Manager to join the leadership team at Cwm Taf Morgannwg. This pivotal role provides strategic, performance, and planning management for the Trauma and Orthopaedic Service within Planned Care, aimed at ensuring waiting time targets and other key performance measures while driving continuous improvements in patient access and care. The Directorate Manager supports across specialities for workforce, finance and performance delivery in partnership with clinical and multidisciplinary leads.
Responsibilities
* Provide strategic, planning and performance management for the Trauma and Orthopaedic Service within Planned Care, including service demand and capacity, planning, resource utilisation and modernisation.
* Drive achievement of waiting time targets and other key performance measures; lead continuous improvements in patient access and care.
* Support across specialities for workforce, finance and performance delivery in partnership with clinical and multidisciplinary leads.
* Share leadership with the Clinical Director and Head of Nursing for the delivery of services, including leadership, direction and financial control; contribute to achieving strategic and operational service objectives set by the Board and Health Board Executives.
* Contribute to and ensure delivery of strategic and operational service objectives as directed.
Role details
This post is fixed term/secondment for 12 months to meet the needs of the service.

Welsh language
