Contract type - Fixed term to end of March 2026 with possibility of 3 year extension

What you’ll do…

The Border Mires cover 55 sites over 2,800 hectares. You'll be:

* Planning, delivering and monitoring peatland restoration projects.
* Bringing together colleagues and partners to achieve the project's objectives.
* Raising the profile of the Border Mires and the peat resource
* Supporting Forestry England's conservation work and promoting it to neighbours, local communities, partners, contractors and volunteers.

Where you’ll work…

The successful candidate will be based at our Bellingham Office but will work across the Border Mires. Homeworking will be available alongside regular office attendance.

Alongside your salary, Forestry England contributes an average of 28.97% towards your pension. You will become a member of the Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension Scheme.

You will be asked to write a 200 word statement on your relevant experience and career history, along with a personal statement of no more than 500 words. You will be assessed on both during sifting. More details about how to apply are listed on the application form.
