Contract – 6 month engagement, 4 days onsite in Luton.

Role Overview
A leading Defence company requires a Principal Systems Engineer to join the Combat Air line, developing systems for the Typhoon aircraft.
Responsibilities
* Engage stakeholders and define requirements for system changes.
* Conduct cost and functional performance trade-offs and evaluate proposed solutions.
* Design and integrate new functionality into existing systems.
* Create test plans and define verification & validation requirements for subsystems.
* Execute and analyse test plans and results.
* Develop integration plans for unit integration into the full system.
* Manage documents to support design review activities.
Qualifications & Experience
* Knowledge of systems engineering lifecycle, especially Integration, Verification & Validation.
* Strong interpersonal skills, able to steer technical discussions.
* Experience with product data management and change management (Teamcenter, SharePoint, Confluence).
* Self‑motivated problem solver with excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
