We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Events Manager to lead the development and project management of Make UK’s flagship annual conference and awards programme, as well as other events as required to support key stakeholders across the Operations Directorate.
Key Responsibilities:
* across the business unit to develop the strategy and programme for Make UK flagship events, including Awards, Conference, and others as needed.
* manage the delivery of major events, ensuring timelines and budgets are managed effectively.
* cross-functional activity with internal stakeholder groups to generate and facilitate content that matters to member companies and manufacturing businesses.
* with regional and national stakeholders to ensure successful promotion, delegate bookings, and awards programme entries.
* bookings and entry acquisition through various platforms, including marketing and direct outreach.
* monitor the programme to ensure relevancy and success, and contribute to the creation of sponsorship value propositions.
* current and potential systems to efficiently deliver conference and event functions, both online and in-person.
* conference and event exhibitions, including sales and income generation.
* management for bookings, applications, sales, and reporting.
* reports for management meetings and manage outsourced activities related to the programme.
Person Specification:
Qualifications and Experience:
* to degree level or demonstrable experience in events/conference planning and management.
* organizational and project management skills.
* negotiating with suppliers and third-party providers.
* with IT systems, including Microsoft Office, and database management tools.
* experience managing projects for a national brand or organization, ideally membership-based.
Attitudes:
* attention to detail and accountability for delivering to a high standard.

* to work under pressure and juggle multiple tasks while meeting tight deadlines.
