Job summary
The Defence Operational Energy Authority (OEA) is part of the Support Operations branch within Chief of Defence Logistics (CDLS) Organisation under ACDS (Support Operations). It is responsible for co-ordinating all issues related to fuel, associated products, fuel infrastructure and fuel equipment across the Defence Fuels Enterprise. Within OEA you will support the management of the Exolum Pipeline System (Exolum-PS) on behalf of the Ministry of Defence.
This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.

Job description
As the OEA Operations Support you will be responsible to the Operations Manager for planning the monthly aviation fuel Pumping Plan and coordinating the MOD's requirements with Exolum-PS. You will be required to liaise closely with UK-based front line Main Operating Bases to understand their forecast requirement to maintain a full flying programme in the following months.� This role provides an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in supporting UK Defence capability. Person specification
1. Manage the monthly forecasting of the fuel requirement through formal liaison with the customers.
2. Generate and manage the Statements of Requirements for Exolum-PS pipeline deliveries and road deliveries to meet the contractual lead times.
3. Engage with MOD, Defence Logistics Agency-Energy (DLA-E) and Exolum-PS stakeholders.�
4. Provide SME assistance to senior managers managing the Exolum-PS contract.�
5. Manage the rescheduling and reprioritisation of Exolum-PS receipts and issues as required.
6. Maintain an oversight of relevant Exolum-PS operations, ensuring outputs are delivered in accordance with the contract.
7. Manage MOD / DLA-E stock requirements in the Exolum-PS from network ingress to MOD egress, via pipeline or road tanker.
