A Snapshot of Your Day
The SGT-A65 Product Manager owns the product roadmap for the A65 business. With a large installed fleet, this position plays a fundamental role in protecting existing revenues & profit, as well as defining the future product strategy for the portfolio. The role will require working in close collaboration with multiple interfaces in Product management, Engineering, Business development, strategy, LTP & M&U Sales & Marketing, Supply Chain and customers.
How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Be responsible for managing the development and maintenance of business case and product requirements covering the SGT-A65 portfolio. You will submit the cases through the yearly R&D budgeting process and own the product development budget for the portfolio.
2. Drive ideation through understanding the technology, product cost, market & customer requirements, identifying market opportunities to develop product-market fit and/or obsolescence road maps that align to the business strategy of the portfolio.
3. Assess existing product attributes for competitiveness and develop product requirements for new programs.
4. Collaborate with engineering team to monitor product development progress against scheduled milestones, and work with the PMO team to identify and mitigate risks related to project delivery, budget overruns, and resource constraints.
5. Act as gate keeper for relevant PDP reviews and gates as well as final approval for any product bulletins relating to the frame.
6. Working with the GSO commercialisation team, you will help develop business cases for new service upgrade product developments. You will also work closely with the portfolio target cost manager to understand the product cost position and help develop strategies to close product cost gaps.
7. You may be required to work with LTP proposals to provide bid support for both fleet and new unit proposals. In addition, you will model product lifecycle costs for new market applications or new operating profiles.
8. The Product Manager is also encouraged to represent Siemens Energy at customer events such as user groups or symposiums, in addition to some direct customer meetings. You will promote new product offerings & support NPI via sales & marketing training and/or direct customer updates.
What You Bring
9. Degree or equivalent experience in engineering or a related business field with over 10 years of specialized experience in technical, product, or commercial roles, primarily involving Aeroderivative products.
10. Solid understanding of Siemens Energy AGT products, customer relations, and commercial structures, with familiarity of sales and product development processes.
11. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to work autonomously and manage projects effectively.
12. Skilled in data analysis, road-mapping, networking, and prioritization, with the ability to influence partners internally and externally at all levels.
13. Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel, with solid understanding of regional business practices, customer needs, and competitors.
14. This position is in a French-speaking environment but requires proficiency in English to comprehend documentation and technical terms from international sources, and to communicate with customers, suppliers, or international colleagues.
