Nursery Nurse/Room Leader – Toad Hall Nursery Group
Toad Hall Nursery Group is looking for a passionate and experienced Nursery Nurse/Room Leader to be based at our 72‑place nursery in Winnersh Triangle, RG41 5RB. The day nursery boasts excellent transport links, a convenient car park for staff and families, and several local cafés within walking distance.
£1,000 new starter bonus! Candidates who apply by Friday 31 October 2025 and are successful in their interview will receive £1,000. This applies to the Level 3 Nursery Nurse positions (Level 3 or above, full time).
Salary – Nursery Nurse: up to £29,536 per annum. Room Leader: from £29,640 per annum.
Key Responsibilities
* Working together with the rest of the team to provide high‑quality care for children aged 0‑5.
* Ensuring the smooth day‑to‑day running of the nursery by adhering to the relevant policies and procedures.
* Using your knowledge, experience and imagination to come up with new ideas and activities.
* Building relationships with children and communicating well with their parents.
* Making sure every working day is fun!
Qualifications and Experience
* Suitable qualifications: an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent.
* Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS, and the ability to refer to the EYFS Framework when planning activities.
* To be aware of the role of planning, observation and keeping records when caring for nursery‑aged children.
* Genuine enthusiasm for working with children and meeting their needs.
* A satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.
