Visum Recruitment are delighted to represent a leading supplier of engineering equipment to the water industry in their search for a Regional Sales Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team, driving the strategic direction and commercial success of a technical product portfolio.
The role will be predominantly home-based with external travel to and from clients in the Southern region, and the majority of the work will be working with Thames and Southern Water.
Salary: Up to £60,000 + Bonus & Company Car
Key Responsibilities
* Achieve budgets, and objectives for whole area and designated accounts
* Owns the Customer Engagement strategy for the Accounts in their region.
* Engagement with Water Utility contractors, Multi Utility contractors and Nav’s to promote the company products and formulate agreements where applicable and / or back sell product sales into the companies existing or new distribution partners (National and Independent).
* Attend regular professional association meetings/dinners relevant to market.
* Key Account Management captures all aspects of the business relationship. As such the position requires an overall management and awareness of Profitability, Turnover, Product Mix, Project Management, Payment, Pricing, CRM and KPI’s. This is not an exhaustive list but demonstrates the position requirement of the management of the total business relationship.
Requirements
* Working with Southern & Thames water frameworks.
* 3–5 years of experience in a comparable role, working with similar products or within a technical environment.
* Strong interest in technical products, prior exposure to water technology is considered an advantage.

* The ideal candidate will be able to achieve budgets and targets for designated accounts.
* To maintain and develop existing and new customers.
* To be aware of and manage all activity within the designated accounts and region.
