We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to join secondary schools in Hertfordshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to gain classroom experience, especially if you're considering a future in teaching or education. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a Cover Supervisor:
* Supervise classes during the short-term absence of the regular teacher
* Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans to students across a range of subjects
* Manage classroom behaviour and ensure students remain on task
* Provide support to students where necessary, without delivering new content
* Record attendance and report any concerns or incidents to senior staff
* Promote a calm, focused and respectful learning environment
Ideal Cover Supervisor:
* Has experience working with secondary-age pupils (desirable but not essential)
* Is confident with classroom and behaviour management
* Is adaptable and able to cover a variety of subjects
* Has strong communication and interpersonal skills as a Cover Supervisor.
* Is reliable, punctual, and professional
* Holds a degree or relevant qualifications (advantageous)
* Has an Enhanced DBS or is willing to obtain one
