We are recruiting for an experienced Technical Services Manager / Maintenance Contract Manager to join a successful maintenance and facilities management team. The role involves oversight and management of multi-site estates and sites.
The position is permanent, offering a salary of 52-53k basic plus car or car allowance. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. Benefits include 25 days holiday plus statutory holidays, a company pension, and a healthcare scheme.
The role is based in Staffordshire and covers contracts in the Northwest and Midlands regions.
Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, the Technical Services Manager / Contract Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of M&E building services and Hard FM contract operations. This includes managing maintenance engineers, small works quotations, supplier delivery, and collaboration with clients. The role also involves monitoring service performance, site liaison, contractual adherence & compliance, identifying cost savings, and unlocking value.
Key Accountabilities:
* Coordinate and manage all building services operations across multiple contracts
* Manage all PPM and reactive maintenance schedules
* Plan and implement small works projects
* Review service performance, identify areas for improvement, and develop action plans
* Provide escalation support for service performance issues
* Monitor and control SLA agreements, evaluate KPIs, and assess contract progress
* Manage P&L responsibilities
* Identify, price, and quote small works
* Assist in the mobilization of new contracts
* Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations
* Manage maintenance engineers and coordinate helpdesk activities
* Conduct client site visits and develop client relationships
* Support planning and management of budgets and forecasts
Requirements:
* Experience in multi-site contract management
* Background in building services engineering (Mechanical or Electrical, HVAC, etc…)
* Experience in compliance oversight
* Excellent client-facing skills
* Experience managing M&E engineers and working on PPM schedules
* Highly flexible and mobile to maintain presence across multiple sites
* Valid driving license
* Experience with Performance and Job Management systems relevant to Building Services/FM industry
* Strong customer service skills
* Service-oriented attitude with innovative thinking
* Background in Building Services and Hard FM
* Negotiation skills and ability to work with staff at all levels
* Self-motivated and resourceful team player
