Our client, a busy local authority in Southwest England, are looking for an experienced Lawyer (Adult's Social Care) to join their team and play a crucial role within their social care operations. Position: Lawyer (Adult's Social Care) Rate: £50-55 per hour (Umbrella, Inside IR35) Contract Duration: Temporary (3 Months) Possible Extension Working Arrangement: Fully Remote Job Purpose: This role will involve providing legal advice and representation in a range of Adult Social Care matters, with a particular focus on Court of Protection work and Mental Health law. Job Duties: Manage a caseload of Adult Social Care legal matters. Conduct Welfare and Section 21A applications in the Court of Protection. Provide advice relating to Ordinary Residence matters. Provide legal advice in relation to the Mental Health Act. Attend hearings and provide advocacy where required. Job Requirements: Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation. Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive with relevant practicing certificate. Proven experience in Adult Social Care law. Experience handling Court of Protection matters, including Welfare and Section 21A applications. Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
