Your mission JOB TITLE: Head of Network Maintenance JOB LOCATION: NI TERMS: Permanent, full time THE JOB We are looking for a Head of Network Maintenance. Reporting to the COO, the Head of Network Maintenance will assume full responsibility for ensuring the Network Maintenance department is performing in line with performance expectations, SLA delivery, quality and to budget. Your profile WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING? Leading the Network Maintenance team, ensuring achievement of SLAs are met and work is delivered on time, on budget and with high levels of quality and safety Develop a strong relationship with the network owner, ensuring a cohesive and effective approach to facilitate the network maintenance Development of the team to ensure sufficient resources are in place to repair outages within contractual timeframes. Focus on mitigation of risk to the network maintenance, ensuring all documentation and permits are in place Overall responsibility for SLA compliance and the processes in the department to support this Delivery of training and coaching of teams to upskill them in all areas of network maintenance Promotion of health and safety, driving audit and improvements across the department Working closely with the HSEQ, Streetworks and Build teams for performance improvement measures Ensure that data, reports and presentations are compiled to effectively monitor performance and improvements Completion of Post Incident Review documentation for critical outages Attend daily operational calls with the client to review progress, workstack, key incidents and escalations. Attend weekly and monthly progress meetings to review performance and manage expectations Measure the financial performance of the department, liaising closely with the commercial team Establish and maintain strong working relationships with teams across the Group, ensuring seamless collaboration for successful workstream and project delivery Responsibility for the department risk register, highlighting risks to the business and solutioning problems WHAT WILL YOU BRING? The ideal person will have a proven track record of working at a senior level in a technical telecoms role. 2 years' experience in a similar role Knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety best practice within telecoms. Experience promoting a a safety first culture, including audits and continuous improvement. Strong understanding of fibre network architecture, fault management and repair processes. Proven experience of leading a department Significant experience of budget and cost management Well-developed planning and organisational skills including schedule management Outstanding communication and inter-personal skills at all levels Calm under pressure with strong problem solving capabilities. Effective negotiation skills High-level of IT literacy including experience of using Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel Experience of using GIS / Network mapping systems Full UK driving licence Ability to attend site when required, including out of hours ABOUT US Viberoptix, part of the Fibrus Group of companies, deliver specialised fibre network build solutions from design, civils activities, cabling and splicing.
