Internal Communications and Engagement Specialist
With nearly 6,000 staff members across four sites, effective internal communication is vital to keeping our people informed, supported, and engaged.
We are seeking a creative, insights-led internal communications expert to enhance how we communicate and engage with our colleagues, fostering a sense of belonging, inclusivity, and community within the Trust.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and evaluate a high-quality internal communications and staff engagement strategy aligned with the Trust's objectives.
2. Provide strategic and tactical advice to senior leaders on internal communication issues and priorities.
3. Ensure the delivery of an effective operational communications service across the Trust.
4. Lead the development of measurement and evaluation approaches for internal communications to build an evidence base for our work.
5. Support in delivering staff engagement events, including the annual Star of Herts awards, and find innovative ways to celebrate colleagues’ achievements.
6. Explore best practices from the public and private sectors to develop innovative internal communication and engagement approaches.
7. Support the strengthening of the communications team through skills sharing and role modeling.
