We are now seeking an experienced Design Manager to join our team at Vanguard Healthcare Solutions, a British privately owned international clinical services and infrastructure provider.
Vanguard Healthcare Solutions designs and constructs modular and mobile facilities, including Operating Theatres, Wards, Endoscopy Suites, and Decontamination and diagnostic units. We support clients worldwide with clinical teams and equipment, delivering innovative, high‑quality, and compliant solutions.
Responsibilities
* Design Coordination: Manage and coordinate design activities across projects, ensuring alignment with schedules, scopes, regulations, and company standards.
* Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to capture requirements and translate them into practical, compliant design solutions.
* Problem‑Solving: Identify potential design challenges and contribute creative, practical solutions.
* Quality Control: Review design deliverables to ensure accuracy, compliance and quality, and use the project common data environment.
* Process Support: Assist in developing and improving design management processes.
* Team Contribution: Support colleagues and contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture.
* Technical Input: Provide technical advice and support.
* Continuous Improvement: Contribute ideas to improve design quality, efficiency and innovation.

Requirements
* Off‑site construction design experience, ideally in healthcare projects.
* Strong organisational and coordination skills.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Knowledge of design principles, regulations and industry standards, especially in healthcare.
* Proficiency with design software and tools, with strong attention to detail.
* HNC level qualification in a relevant subject such as Architecture, Engineering or equivalent experience (minimum 3 years).
