Were hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer on behalf of a global engineering client working at the forefront of fuel injection technology. Based in Kent, this role focuses on the design and development of high-precision diesel fuel injection systems used across commercial and industrial applications.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design high-pressure fuel injection components and systems
* Create 3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings
* Apply DFMEA and GD&T in design reviews
* Collaborate with suppliers to ensure DFM and cost-efficiency
* Analyse test data to support continuous improvement
Requirements:
* Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering
* 510 years design experience
* Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks, NX or CATIA)
* Experience with GD&T, DFMEA, and DFM principles
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
