An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Deputy Ward Manager to join us on the Haematology Ward. We believe our staff are our greatest asset and support our ward team to develop and grow.

Additional training will be provided to enhance your leadership and management skills. You will be well supported by the Unit Manager.
Ward 30 is a 22-bedded unit with a clinic and day unit attached; staff rotate through the unit. We treat patients with chemotherapy, as well as other supportive treatments for hematological conditions.
The role involves acting as a team leader, providing clinical leadership and management support to the ward, and developing and evaluating best practices within the department. The post holder will deputise for the department manager as required.
We are looking to recruit a clinical leader to deputise for the Ward Manager and support the safe delivery of care. You should possess excellent clinical skills, have experience leading a team, and have clinical experience within the specialty. Competence in cannulation, venipuncture, management of vascular access devices, and administration of systemic anti-cancer therapy is essential.
