You will provide respite for the applicant’s wife, who is the primary carer. Your support will be both inside and outside the home to give her a short break. All legal checks will be completed before employment begins, and wages and holiday pay will be provided accordingly.
Responsibilities
* Provide confident and direct communication to the patient and the applicant.
* Use social skills to engage and support the patient in everyday activities.
* Lead and initiate conversations, actively keeping the patient engaged.
* Give reassurance and guidance when needed.
* Remain proactive, problem‑solving on your own initiative in various situations.
* Use personal vehicle to transport the patient for outings if required.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Experience with dementia is preferred, either personal or work‑related.
* Flexible and able to accommodate shifts, days and times that may change with short notice.
* Must own a car and be willing to use it for work purposes.
* Must provide satisfactory references and a DBS Disclosure (Police Check).
* Legal right to work in the UK.
* Must submit a National Insurance number.
Employment will commence under an initial trial period. The position is part‑time but requires formal employment and National Insurance number submission. All necessary checks will be conducted to verify eligibility and legal right to work. Although the organization acting on behalf of a third party, it will not serve as the official employer.
