We are seeking enthusiastic, flexible, and highly motivated Radiographers to join our busy Radiology team at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust, based at The Princess Royal Hospital (PRH), Telford site, with rotation through the newly established Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) at Hollinswood House.
Main duties of the job
The ideal candidates will hold a BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography or DCR, possess current HCPC registration, and have significant postgraduate experience, including competency in CT scanning.
These positions are suitable for experienced Radiographers eager to develop their skills. Successful applicants will be integral members of the cross-sectional and general teams, with training provided across all modalities. The role involves participation in a busy general rotation, including on-call duties and a 7-day working roster.
Working for our organisation
Our Radiology department has recently undergone extensive equipment upgrades, including a new Philips Azurion cardiac catheter lab, a Philips fluoroscopy room, four Philips DR general X-ray rooms, and two mobile units. We also have two state-of-the-art Cannon CT scanners and a Siemens 1.5T MRI scanner on-site. The CDC will soon open with a new imaging suite featuring a Cannon CT scanner and Philips DR room.
Radiographers with over one year of postgraduate experience contribute to training and mentoring undergraduate students. Our department offers an excellent on-site teaching environment and is committed to role extension, with radiographers currently practicing in Ultrasound, Barium Swallows, CT Colonoscopies, and plain film reporting.
We are dedicated to Advanced Practice development, supported by our Consultant Radiographer and in collaboration with our Consultant Radiologists.
