Tendering EngineerFull Time, PermanentNottingham / Derby areaUp to £75,000 P.AIn a nutshellWe are currently recruiting for a Tendering Engineer to support our client's commercial and engineering teams in producing high-quality, compliant, and compelling bid submissions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of writing technical and commercial proposals within engineering, automation, or technical services including SCADA, PLC & HMI control systems.This role will involve managing the full bid life cycle, coordinating inputs from multiple stakeholders, producing structured tender responses, and ensuring that all proposals meet deadlines and compliance standards.What's involved for the Tendering EngineerManaging the full bid process from opportunity review to final submissionAnalysing tender documents, ITTs, PQQs, and client requirements for complianceWriting clear, structured, and persuasive bid responses aligned to evaluation criteriaCollaborating with engineering, sales, and management teams to gather inputsEditing and quality-checking all bid content for clarity, consistency, and accuracyProducing executive summaries, methodology statements, and value propositionsTracking deadlines, managing internal reviews, and coordinating approvalsSupporting post-submission clarifications and lessons-learned reviewsWhat you'll needProven experience as a Bid Writer, Proposal Writer or Tendering EngineerBackground in engineering, automation, PLC, SCADA, HMI IdealExcellent written English with strong editing and proofreading skillsAbility to interpret information and translate it into client-focused contentStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple bids concurrentlyHigh attention to detail and commitment to qualityProficient in Microsoft Word and Office applicationsExperience with tenders or similar frameworksAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a team environmentBenefits for the Tendering EngineerSalary: Up to £75,000 P.A.
