Executive Personal Assistant, Brighton, Temp 3-month contract, Hybrid Your new company An influential public sector organisation is seeking a highly capable Executive Personal Assistant to provide proactive, high quality support to one or more Directors. This organisation plays a critical role in shaping and safeguarding nationally significant work, and you’ll be joining a collaborative, mission driven environment where professionalism, discretion and strong stakeholder relationships are at the heart of what they do. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a pivotal position that directly supports senior leadership, ensuring they can operate effectively, efficiently and with maximum impact. Your new role As an Executive Personal Assistant, you will act as the trusted right hand to your Director(s), ensuring their time, priorities and workflows are managed seamlessly. This is a fast paced and varied role requiring exceptional judgement, forward thinking and the confidence to make decisions on their behalf when needed. Key responsibilities include: Providing high quality, proactive support across diary and inbox management, making informed decisions to optimise productivity. Acting as the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including government and industry representatives, while upholding professionalism and diplomacy at all times. Managing confidential and sensitive information in line with GDPR and organisational standards. Coordinating meetings, events, workshops, travel and accommodation, ensuring all logistics and documentation are prepared to a high standard. Drafting correspondence, identifying priorities and resolving or escalating issues to maintain progress and mitigate risks. Building strong relationships across the organisation, acting as the go to contact for engagement with the Director(s). Supporting with administrative processes such as expenses, leave, gifts & hospitality, and directorate level meetings. Collaborating with other PAs and EPAs to share best practice and contribute to a well run leadership support function. This role requires someone adaptable, confident, calm under pressure and able to take initiative to keep the Directorate operating smoothly. What you'll need to succeed To excel in this role, you’ll bring: Proven experience as an Executive PA, Personal Assistant or senior administrative coordinator supporting high-level leaders. Excellent judgement and the ability to anticipate needs, handle sensitive matters and represent the Director(s) with professionalism. Strong organisational, prioritisation and problem solving skills, with the ability to manage shifting demands in a high-pressure environment. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including experience drafting emails and correspondence on behalf of senior leaders. Confidence managing senior stakeholder relationships and navigating complex organisational structures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, SharePoint and other organisational systems. Experience coordinating meetings, events and travel logistics. A calm, discreet and adaptable approach with the ability to work independently and make sound decisions. Knowledge of GDPR and public sector processes is advantageous but not essential.
