Ashfield District Council have a great opportunity for a Technical Officer - Damp, Mould & Disrepair ??? to join our team based in Kirkby in Ashfield. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £34,314 - £37,035 per annum (pay award pending). We are seeking a proactive and experienced Technical Officer to join our team, with a specific focus on investigating, diagnosing and resolving issues related to damp, mould and disrepair across our housing stock. You will play a key role in ensuring that homes are maintained to a high standard and are safe, warm and habitable for our residents. This is an essential position that supports our commitment to tackling housing-related health hazards and delivering excellent customer service. You may be required to: Undertake property inspections and diagnostics focused on damp, mould, condensation, and general disrepair. Produce clear and detailed inspection reports including photographic evidence, schedules of work, and technical recommendations. Liaise with residents to investigate complaints and explain findings and remedial works. Instruct and supervise contractors, ensuring works are carried out to a high standard and within agreed timescales. Keep accurate records using the organisation's asset and housing management systems. Contribute to continuous service improvement and support programmes aimed at preventing damp and disrepair issues.
