The Finance team plays a critical and integral role at
111SKIN
and its sister companies, providing both day-to-day financial management and strategic financial guidance to support business growth.
As
Financial Controller
, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of all financial operations. You will oversee statutory financial reporting, tax compliance, and cash flow forecasting while managing the Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions. Acting as the key liaison with external auditors and tax advisors, you will ensure adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements.
This role also involves providing detailed financial analysis and insights to challenge assumptions, support data-driven decision-making, and enhance the company's overall financial performance and strategic objectives.
WHAT YOU'RE HERE TO DO
Your key responsibilities are;
* Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
* Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including inventory valuation, fixed assets, intercompany accounts, creditors and debtors ledgers, accruals, and prepayments, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
* Manage the fixed assets register and oversee capital expenditure reporting and budgeting, ensuring proper recording, tracking, and alignment with financial plans.
* Manage statutory reporting, tax compliance, and audit processes across all group entities.
* Lead the cash flow management processes.
* Supervise AP and AR functions, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
* Develop and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.
* Partner the Finance Director and CFO to analyse performance, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend strategic actions.
* Provide insightful financial reporting and commentary to senior management.
* Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions.
* Support system enhancements, process improvements, and automation initiatives.
* Mentor and develop the finance team to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
The Financial Controller is expected to have the following skills and knowledge:
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
* Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar senior finance role.
* Proven experience in delivering process and systems improvement
* Strong technical accounting knowledge and familiarity with IFRS/UK GAAP.
* Experience with multi-entity or group consolidations preferred.
* Advanced Excel and ERP system skills (e.g., Sage X 3 is desirable)
* Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership abilities.
* Commercially minded with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving, and entrepreneurial environment
* Team management experience desirable
