What we need from you to apply:
Were looking for a driven and commercially minded Sales Estimator to join our growing team. Youll play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive quotations across a broad range of disciplines while supporting the sales team in identifying opportunities and converting leads into contracts.
* Experience in estimating within the fire protection and security industry (required)
* Strong understanding of relevant standards
* Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple enquires and deadlines
* Hold a current UK Driving Licence
What the role involves:
* Support the sales process from enquiry to order placement
* Prepare detailed cost estimates for fire alarms, fire protection systems, CCTV, access control, and intruder alarms
* Interpret client specifications and review tender documents and drawings
* Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
* Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure scope alignment
* Maintain and update pricing databases and tender logs
* Support bid submissions and client proposals, including attending sites to assess scope and gather information
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 circa, depending on experience, plus performance based bonus scheme.
Hours: Full time - Monday to Friday, the role requires a degree of flexibility, and you will be expected to manage your time effectively to meet deadlines, while maintaining a reasonable work-life balance.
