Auto Electrician
Location: Dorking
Department: Assembly
Hours: 39 per week
Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:00pm
Friday: 7:30am – 3:00pm (hour unpaid lunch)
Hourly Rate: £15.63–£16.32 (depending on skills and experience)
About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Assembly Fitter / Auto Electrician to join our Assembly Department. This is a hands‑on role working on specialist vehicles, including electrical installations and diagnostics.
Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose electrical issues using electronic diagnostic equipment.
* Modify and install electrical harnesses and wiring looms.
* Install interior electrics (GPS, camera systems, etc.).
* Fit high‑voltage batteries into electric vehicles.
* Conduct fault‑finding and diagnostic work on specialist vehicles.
* Maintain accurate records and comply with safety standards.
* Contribute to a clean, safe working environment.

Ideal Candidate
* Previous fitting experience (desirable)
* Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics & electrical circuits (desirable)
* Apprenticeship in mechanical engineering or similar (desirable)
* Clean driving licence / LGV (desirable)
* Strong communication skills, self‑motivated, and able to work independently
* Positive, team‑oriented attitude
