Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust has superb opportunities for multiple individuals to support their Dental Nurse team in a variety of sites including clinics, hospitals, and in the domiciliary setting. The role allows you to work in a specialist team caring for a wide range of both children and adult patients with various disabilities. The opportunities available are for a minimum of 3 months with the potential to extend.
Main duties of the job
1. Supporting clinicians throughout a wide range of different types of clinical treatments.
2. Supporting all patients as they undergo dental treatment, responding to individual patient needs and understanding how they may be affected by dental experiences.

Location: Multiple locations across Berkshire
Pay Rates: £14.82 per hour
Shift Patterns: Monday-Friday 8:30-17:00 with potential flexibility

You should ideally have experience working as part of a dental team and be willing to work at any of the following locations:
* Langley Health Centre
* Skimped Hill Health Centre
* Upton Hospital
* West Berkshire Community Hospital
* Whitley Health and Social Services Centre
You must demonstrate experience managing a dental clinic, handling emotional and distressing situations, and organizing a high workload. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential to support patients and colleagues effectively. The ability to communicate accurate and sensitive information is crucial.
Additional duties include:
* Setting up and preparing the dental surgery, ensuring it is cleaned post-surgery.
* Ensuring the availability of correct and clean instruments, equipment, x-rays, record cards, and electronic records prior to treatment.
* Supporting stock management of stationery, medications, utilities, etc.
* Maintaining and updating records in an efficient filing system, ensuring data protection.
* Booking patient appointments and advising on patient needs using dental knowledge.
What you'll need:
* Registration with the General Dental Council
* NVQ Level 3 in Oral Healthcare
* Experience working with the elderly, children, and patients with special needs
* Excellent organizational skills
* Computer skills, including experience with dental software
* UK driving license and access to a car
