The Role
Referment is partnering with a leading UK structures and engineering specialist to appoint an experienced Logistics Manager for a major construction project within a live airport environment.
This is a standout opportunity to take ownership of logistics on a complex, high profile scheme where coordination, safety and precision are critical to success.
You will lead logistics planning and operations on a technically challenging project, working in a highly regulated environment where attention to detail and proactive coordination are essential. This is a predominantly site based role in London, with a minimum of 4 days per week on site and the remainder based in the company’s London office.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and manage a detailed logistics plan aligned with construction sequencing and programme milestones
* Coordinate deliveries, storage, laydown areas and site access within a constrained environment
* Manage logistics bookings and ensure compliance with strict operational and security requirements
* Oversee inbound materials and equipment, ensuring all documentation and processes meet required standards
* Liaise with suppliers, hauliers and key stakeholders to maintain efficient site operations
* Identify risks to programme and implement effective mitigation strategies
* Lead and coordinate logistics teams to ensure safe and efficient material movement
What We Are Looking For
* Proven experience in logistics management on complex construction or infrastructure projects
* Experience working in live airport environments or similarly regulated, high control settings
* Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills
* Ability to operate effectively under pressure in fast paced environments
* A proactive, solutions driven approach with a strong commitment to health and safety
* Full right to work in the UK
