Job Description:
Delivery Director - Operations
We are seeking a senior operations leader to take end-to-end responsibility for the seamless coordination of planning, streetworks compliance, data reporting, and control room functions. This pivotal position demands a strong focus on operational excellence, compliance with regulatory expectations, and the development of a highly motivated and capable workforce.
Location: London
Hybrid working pattern that requires flexibility around the client and stakeholder meetings. Typically, 2 days from home and 3 days in an office, which could be internal or external stakeholder meetings.
Role Description:
The Resolute Group is working in partnership with a Utilities consultancy operating across the UK, involved with key Water, Gas & Power providers in the sector.
This is a Delivery role in Operations, not Engineering, focusing on the day-to-day operations of a 24/7 service.
The first programme involves overseeing a team of 100 professionals involved in upgrading and expanding the existing network. Leading a team responsible for the 24/7 operation of the Control room to ensure minimal disruption, planning, permits, and scheduling, with fines in place for delays and disruptions.
You will have total control of the programme and assets on behalf of the client, ensuring a smooth transition from project completion to normal operations. All processes must be seamlessly integrated into existing systems, including data capture, updating asset registers, and stakeholder interfacing.
While the project involves installing new pipelines, pumps, and valves, this role is focused on operations and network management. Your team will interface with contractors to ensure milestones are achieved and will lead operational efforts to maintain network standards and expectations.
The offices are based around London, with travel to regional offices like Birmingham on an ad hoc basis. Living in the Home Counties is ideal, but travel expenses are covered if you live further away.
Candidate background:
* Degree qualification – subject varies as this is NOT an Engineering role.
* Experience in Utilities (Water, Gas, or Power networks).
* Operational experience, understanding how a 24/7 utility network operates from the control room through asset management.
* Experience working for a consultancy is preferred to understand stakeholder interfaces and asset upgrade issues.
PLEASE NOTE
You must be eligible to live and work in the UK to apply.
