Commissioning / Placement Lead (Children)
* Hourly Rate: £20.68 (PAYE)

We are seeking a Commissioning Placement Lead for Children to manage and enhance service contracts aimed at improving outcomes for children and families in Doncaster. This role involves designing, monitoring, and improving services to ensure they are effective, legally compliant, and offer good value for money.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Design & Deliver Contracts: Create and manage service contracts that meet goals and demonstrate clear impact.
* Monitor Services: Oversee daily operations and supervise staff to ensure services run smoothly and meet standards.
* Procurement: Procure services in accordance with legal and policy requirements to ensure high quality.
* Partnership Working: Collaborate with other teams and organisations to align services with local strategies.
* Support Providers: Assist service providers in improving their practices and delivering better value.
* Safeguarding & Quality Assurance: Advise providers on legal duties and collaborate with quality teams to ensure the safety of children.
* Joint Commissioning: Manage services that are jointly funded by health and social care, supporting local commissioning efforts.
* Co-Production: Engage children, families, and community groups in shaping services.
* Service Excellence: Contribute to making the Council’s services outstanding and well-regarded.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Education: Level 5 qualification (e.g., in commissioning) or equivalent experience.
* Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams and deliver results.
* Commissioning Experience: Experience in commissioning services, ideally across health, education, social care, or voluntary sectors.
* Multi-Agency Work: Strong background in working with other organisations, especially in education and the voluntary sector.
