The Operations Manager plays a vital role in the DVSA Corporate Senior Leadership Team, overseeing the national delivery of operational services to meet customer expectations.

The post holder will lead operations delivery teams of 250-300 staff through supporting managers, ensuring high-quality, efficient, and effective service delivery, maximizing value for money for customers and DVSA.
They will ensure effective planning, staff understanding of standards, and maintenance of operational processes, directly impacting road safety outcomes.
The role also involves contributing to development and business improvement initiatives, managing performance, fostering talent, and liaising with policy colleagues to support business improvements and compliance with quality standards.
Your responsibilities include:
* Providing leadership, influence, and guidance to staff, supporting objective achievement with integrity and upholding organizational reputation.
* Overseeing vehicle testing operations across regional networks, ensuring service consistency and quality.
* Ensuring network delivery aligns with standards, expectations, and targets.
* Maintaining effective communication and engagement with staff and management teams.
* Developing operational plans for high-quality, cost-effective services.
* Driving improvements based on QA and audits, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
* Collaborating with strategic partners to develop business plans in response to changing priorities.
* Acting as a liaison for specific services, providing operational expertise on issues and legislation.
* Coordinating with internal departments to meet customer needs and ensure clear communication.
