Trust Doctor (eqv to ST1/2) in Emergency Medicine

We are looking for Trust Doctors (ST1-2) Equivalent Level to start as soon as possible.
The contract is for 6 months initially, with a possible extension.
This post is not recognised for foundation training and therefore full GMC registration will be required. However, support will be provided for portfolio development, and an educational supervisor will be allocated. You will be expected to provide clinical work cover and there may be educational opportunities which are run for the benefit of the Foundation year trainees.

Person specification

Qualifications and knowledge

Essential criteria

1. MB ChB or equivalent
2. Full GMC Registration

Desirable criteria

3. MRCP(UK)Part I or equivalent
4. MRCS Part A and B or equivalent
5. MCEM Parts A and B or equivalent

Experience

Essential criteria

6. Medical knowledge commensurate with grade

Desirable criteria

7. NHS experience

Skills

Essential criteria

8. Understanding of ALS principles

Personal and people development

Essential criteria

9. Good communication skills both written and verbal
10. Able to work within a multidisciplinary team

Communication

11. Commitment to quality care
12. Ability to organize ones CPD

Desirable criteria

13. Enthusiasm in teaching junior doctors, medical students and nurses
14. Involvement in clinical audit

Specific Requirements

15. The post holder will be required to work shifts, on call, flexible hours.
