The Boeing Company is seeking Flight Simulation Software Engineers (Associate, Experienced, and Senior) to join the Flight Simulation Labs team located in Berkeley, MO. This position supports the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.
The roles involve software development for tools supporting simulation infrastructure across Flight Simulation Labs. Candidates will be aligned with a statement of work matching their interests and skills, which may include:
* Creating core simulation infrastructure for flight simulation capabilities
* Developing tools to simulate, monitor, and capture messages between subsystems in a lab environment
* Modeling aircraft capabilities, including running constructive scenarios in testing environments
Our software engineers design, develop, and demonstrate avionics solutions, supporting integration of innovative technologies to maintain our platform’s dominance. They also support Flight Simulation products related to our platforms.
We are hiring for a broad range of experience levels: Associate, Experienced, and Senior Software Engineers.
Position Responsibilities:
* Develop, document, and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for software systems
* Develop and maintain code, integrating software components into a complete system
* Support development of simulation environments for testing by Mission Systems engineers
* Work on an agile team to achieve team goals
* Execute and document software R&D projects
* Work under general direction
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
* 2+ years programming in C, C++, C#, Python, Java, or Ada (or equivalent experience)
* 2+ years’ experience as a Software Engineer
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
* Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry
* Experience in defense or avionics industry
* Knowledge of networking principles
* Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira
* Strong coordination and communication skills
* Ability to multitask and support multiple activities
* Effective collaboration skills
