SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: St Albans
Salary: £80– £89 per day (based on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, Term Time Only
Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm (start and finish times may vary by up to 45 minutes)

A friendly and inclusive school in Kettering is looking to appoint a SEN Teaching Assistant to work closely with pupils who have special educational needs. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a genuine impact on the lives of young learners.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Provide tailored 1:1 or small group support for children with SEN
Assist in classroom activities and lesson delivery
Support students during break and lunch times
Help keep the learning environment safe, tidy, and organised
Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and nurturing atmosphere
Who We're Looking For:
We welcome applicants from a wide range of backgrounds. Experience in a school setting is not essential — a positive attitude and commitment are what matter most.
You should:
Ideally have experience working with children or young people with SEN (not required)
Be reliable, compassionate, and patient
Take initiative and show a proactive, can-do attitude
Have (or be willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
Hold permanent UK residency – this is essential
