The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Contentious Probate Solicitor to join a growing specialist team. You will manage a varied caseload of inheritance and estate disputes while working closely with colleagues across private client and litigation teams.
Key responsibilities include advising on:
* Will validity disputes (capacity, undue influence, fraud)
* Claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975
* Executor and trustee disputes, including removal applications
* Proprietary estoppel claims
* Estate administration disputes
* Professional negligence claims relating to wills and estate planning
You will have responsibility for managing matters from instruction through to resolution, with regular client contact and involvement in more complex cases.
Candidate Profile
* Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive
* NQ+ PQE in contentious probate or related litigation
* Strong technical knowledge of probate disputes and relevant legislation
* Ability to handle sensitive matters with empathy and professionalism
* Commercially aware with a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach
* Strong communication and client care skills
* Capable of managing a caseload independently
* Interest in business development and building client relationships
