Care Home Senior Support Worker

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Support Worker to join our care team. You will play a key role in providing high-quality care to residents, supervising and supporting care staff, and ensuring that each resident's individual needs are met with respect and compassion.
This role involves leading by example, conducting staff supervisions and appraisals, contributing to care planning, and ensuring that daily care activities are carried out to a consistently high standard.
Reports to: Home Manager / Deputy Manager / Nurse
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver and oversee person-centred care for residents.
* Support, guide, and mentor care assistants to maintain excellent care standards.
* Conduct supervisions, appraisals, and contribute to staff development.
* Participate in care planning and maintain accurate records and documentation.
* Promote residents' independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
* Communicate effectively with colleagues, residents, and families.
Skills and Attributes
* Proven experience in a senior or team leader care role.
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* Ability to prioritise and manage workloads effectively.
* Compassionate, patient, and reliable.
* Team-focused with a positive attitude.
Education and Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards this qualification).
