Cloud Platform Engineer (AWS)
Location: Greater Manchester (Hybrid, with travel as required)

An organisation operating at national and international scale is looking for an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer (AWS) to support and evolve a large, security-critical AWS environment as part of a major cloud transformation programme.
You'll work closely with infrastructure, security, and development teams to design, build, and operate highly available, compliant, and cost-effective AWS services.
Key responsibilities:
* Build, maintain, and optimise AWS infrastructure and services
* Support migrations from on-prem to AWS
* Implement and maintain security, monitoring, logging, and DR controls
* Automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code
* Support AWS networking, WorkSpaces, and cost management
Key requirements:
5+ years' hands-on AWS engineering experience
AWS Associate certification (or equivalent experience)
Strong knowledge of core AWS services, networking, and security best practices
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation or Terraform)
Strong Linux skills scripting experience desirable
Nice to have:
ISO27001 experience
Containers (ECS, Kubernetes, Docker)
ITIL / structured service management experience
