Job Description:
Pharma client based in Dublin is looking to hire a Senior Medical Information Writer/Manager or Medical Information Specialist.
This is a 6-month initial contract with a high likelihood of extension.
Day rate: approximately €400+ per day if based in Ireland, or £300-350+ per day if working remotely from the UK. Flexibility depends on experience and expertise.
Remote or hybrid work options available. We are seeking candidates based in Ireland or the UK. No sponsorship provided.
There are 2 vacancies: one for a Senior MI Specialist/Manager and another for an MI Specialist with fluent German. Both roles involve managing high-level, complex global medical inquiries.
This role involves providing expertise in specific therapeutic areas/brands, supporting complex medical inquiries and activities, delivering high-quality responses, reviewing materials, developing digital content, optimizing processes, managing inquiries at medical congresses, and reporting metrics and insights.
Major Accountabilities:
* Provide timely and high-quality responses to escalated medical inquiries (global scope).
* Write or review MI deliverables to ensure quality standards.
* Optimize MI service processes and standards for efficiency.
* Generate reports on inquiry metrics and insights for stakeholders.
* Support management of Congress Medical Information services.
* Assist regional or country MI teams.
Qualifications:
* Minimum healthcare professional degree or related healthcare field.
* Preferred advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD) in life sciences or healthcare.
* Fluent English; second European language preferred.
Experience/Requirements:
* At least 3 years of experience in Medical Information/Communications in the pharmaceutical industry or Medical Affairs.
* Knowledge of therapeutic areas.
* Understanding of good practices in medical inquiry management and writing.
* Experience handling escalated medical inquiries.
* Reviewing medical/clinical content and providing feedback.
* Extensive resource knowledge and effective use.
* Strong understanding of medical concepts and implications.
* Client-focused with collaboration skills.
* Innovative thinking and problem-solving skills.
