We are hiring a Content Editor for the CA market who specialises in sports coverage. This is an in-office position — we are located just 5 minutes from Norwich train station, on Rose Lane.
As a Content Editor, you will create and revise copy for the CA market, focusing on betting, news and analysis. This is a fantastic job for a sports enthusiast who wishes to deploy that passion through writing. You will be responsible for:
1. Creation of new long-form and short-form copy for the CA market.
2. Sports of particular note are:
* International football
* MLB
* NFL
* NBA
* NHL
* Golf
* Curling
* Lacrosse
* Rugby
1. Working with other writers and editors to develop the market’s style guide, compliance requirements, and content guidelines.
2. Conducting meaningful research analytics through audits of content to evaluate market performance and improve the product.
3. Creating templates, briefs and other documentation for both internal and external use.
4. Collaborating with the SEO, Content, Design and Product teams to execute and improve our strategy.
5. Reporting into the CA Senior Editor/Team Lead.
Minimum qualifications include:
* Previous demonstrable experience with sports coverage OR demonstrable writing experience and a big passion for sports (1 year +, freelance accepted!).
* Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication.
* Enthusiasm for sports in general.
Above all — a willingness to learn and a forward-thinking approach to work!
Preferred qualifications include:
* Foundational SEO knowledge.
* Education in writing or sports.
* Familiarity with the CA betting and iGaming market.
* Familiarity with the nuances of CA English.
* Solid working knowledge of a majority of covered sports markets.
