<div><h3>Health & Safety Manager Construction Interiors Subcontractor</h3><ul><li>cGBP60k – GBP70k (Dependent on Relevant Experience)</li><li>Additional Benefits</li></ul><h3>The Company</h3><p>My client is one of London s leading interior specialist sub–contractors working alongside blue chip contractors on some of the most prestigious landmark commercial office projects in the Central London. They have a young, vibrant workforce and are a market leader.</p><h3>The Role</h3><p>Working closely with the companies Managing Director and team of Contracts Managers they require a hands on Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor / Manager to manage all H&S related issues and tasks associated in the delivery of projects in high spec, multi storey office developments in Central London.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities Include:</h3><ul><li>You will be responsible for the management of H&S across numerous active construction sites</li><li>Preparing risk assessments and method statements for site operations,</li><li>Client facing and meetings,</li><li>The provision of construction phase fire assessments,</li><li>Construction phase H&S audits,</li><li>Promoting behavioural based H&S practices to the workforce</li><li>Overall compliance with the company s OHSAS 18001 & ISO14001</li></ul><h3>Also dealing with the following:</h3><ul><li>Monitoring and guiding our Manager s, Fixer s and Labourers</li><li>Ensuring our RAMs are 100% accurate and current on all projects at all times, (normally circa 12 live projects running at once)</li><li>Grading of our projects prior to works commencing (Red, Amber, Green) based on risk</li><li>Weekly Audits on all projects</li><li>Weekly Progress Report to management</li><li>Implementing Change wherever is necessary</li><li>Deciding how we should operate not just report on how we have performed</li><li>Setting Standards that get rolled out across all site particularly regarding: Site Set up, Housekeeping, Trolley management</li><li>Keeping the operatives training matrix up to date at all times: PASMA, Manual Handling, First Aid and CSCS</li><li>Alcohol & Drugs monitoring of our operatives on our sites (not that we have found this to be an issue to date)</li><li>Translation of H&S paperwork to ensure all operatives understand what they are receiving and signing</li></ul><h3>The Successful Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor / Manager</h3><p>You will be responsible for over 50 employees on numerous sites in confined areas and will therefore need to have a hands on approach to Health & Safety in order to influence a positive culture and mind–set throughout the workforce.</p><h3>You will need to be able to demonstrate:</h3><ul><li>The management of H&S across multiple sites</li><li>Preparing of RAMS, Tool Box Talks and Inductions</li><li>Client liaison and attending regular H&S meetings</li><li>Carrying out regular site inspections and reviewing practices to determine compliance with RAMS</li><li>Ideally experienced in the Commercial Fit out market working for a Trade Contractor</li><li>Someone to maintain our standards and develop the role within the business</li><li>We are ISO 9001, 14001 and 18001 accredited</li><li>Our H&S standards are good, but can be developed even further</li><li>We have a H&S culture and ethos in the business and are striving to be the best in our industry</li><li>We need an energetic and enthusiastic person to take on the role and keep us going forward and progressing in this vital area of our business.</li></ul></div>
