Senior Infrastructure Engineer Location: South West - Hybrid role Contract: Full-Time | Permanent Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
Are you a seasoned IT professional with a broad background across firewalls, networking, and server infrastructure? We're looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing team and play a key role in delivering robust, secure, and scalable IT solutions across our organisation.
What You'll Be Doing:
Supporting and maintaining core infrastructure, including firewalls, servers, networking, and cloud platforms.
Leading or contributing to infrastructure upgrade projects and security improvements.
Providing escalation support and working collaboratively across teams to troubleshoot complex issues.
Managing backup and disaster recovery systems to ensure business continuity.
Monitoring system performance, availability, and reliability through industry-standard tools.
What We're Looking For:
We're after someone who brings hands-on experience across a wide range of technologies, including:
Firewalls, network infrastructure, and VLAN management
Windows Server and/or Linux administration
Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPN
Virtualisation (e.g. VMware vSphere)
Cloud platforms: Azure and/or AWS
Backup solutions (Veeam preferred)
Strong problem-solving ability and a proactive mindset
