Overview
Customer Assistant - In Store Bakery - Foyleside. Join our team at M&S as a Customer Assistant in our Bakery section, delivering fresh perspectives every day with a love for baking and strong product knowledge. This role supports in-store bakery operations and customer service.
Working pattern and requirements
Working pattern includes shifts such as Sunday 09:00-17:00, Friday 18:30-22:30, Saturday 12:00-20:00. To comply with health and safety legislation and keep colleagues safe in the workplace, applicants must be 18 years of age or older. Please note that the £3.00 p/h unsocial premium is added only to hours worked between 22:00 and 06:00.
Responsibilities
* Serve customers efficiently on the shop floor and at service points.
* Keep the store clean and tidy and ensure shelves are stocked.
* Monitor and contribute to daily sales targets, priorities, promotions, and selling opportunities.
* Engage with customers to understand their needs, make recommendations, and deliver remarkable service.
* Build expert product knowledge to sell and promote bakery products and related services.
* Utilise digital tools and communication channels to deliver for the customer.
* Be a brand ambassador ready to recommend bakery products and create a positive customer experience.
