One our MSP clients is seeking an experienced Solution Architect with solid expertise in cloud architecture (particularly Microsoft Azure), security and MDR services within MSP environments. The role will play a key part in designing and delivering strategic solutions that marry cloud engineering, security posture, and operational scalability for enterprise and public sector clients.
This individual will collaborate across pre-sales, service delivery, security operations, and customer success teams, helping shape architecture roadmaps, improve security maturity and ensure successful implementation of complex hybrid cloud and security solutions.
Solution Architect – Key Responsibilities
* Lead the design and delivery of hybrid cloud and Azure-based solutions.
* Translate customer requirements into secure, scalable technical architecture.
* Embed MDR and cyber resilience into solutions, working closely with SOC/security teams.
* Provide architectural guidance across pre-sales, delivery, and technical teams.
* Act as a technical authority in client meetings, proposals and reviews.
* Maintain architecture standards, documentation and best practices.
* Advise on Microsoft Sentinel, M365 Defender and wider security tooling integration.
* Mentor technical team members and support solution whiteboarding sessions.
* Evaluate emerging cloud and security technologies to drive ongoing improvements.
Solution Architect – Key Skills Required
Essential
* Proven Solution Architect experience within an MSP environment.
* Strong Microsoft Azure expertise (IaaS/PaaS, governance, identity, networking, landing zones).
* Security experience across MDR, threat detection, SIEM/SOAR or security monitoring.
* Solid understanding of hybrid cloud, integrations, networking and resilient design.
* Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
* Experience producing architectural documentation and NFRs (security, performance, compliance).
Desirable
* MSP service design / service offering experience.
* Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Sentinel or other SIEM/SOAR platforms.
* Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001).
* Relevant Azure certifications (AZ-305, AZ-500, etc.).
