Join to apply for the Interaction Designer role at Capgemini.
About the Job
We are looking to fill a number of mid and senior level interaction design roles. As an Interaction Designer, you will play a critical role in delivering user‑centred designs that meet the needs of our public sector client. You will also have the opportunity to work for other clients in government and the private sector. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and deliver designs that are accessible, understandable, and aligned with the Government Digital Service (GDS) standards. Your work will span various projects within the UK Government, requiring a strong understanding of agile methodologies and the ability to work in a fast‑paced, iterative environment.
Hybrid Working
The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of company offices, client sites, and your home. You will be expected to work from a Capgemini office a minimum of two days a week, and be willing to travel as required.
Eligibility
To be considered, candidates must be based in the UK and have existing permission to work in the UK. Sponsorship will not be provided. Successful applicants will undergo pre‑employment checks including identity, nationality, employment history, and a criminal record check.

* Create interactive prototypes for products and services using design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision.
* Understand and resolve design‑centric disputes across varying levels of complexity and risk.
* Work in a fast‑paced, evolving environment using an iterative, agile approach.
* Communicate effectively across organisational and technical boundaries.
* Identify opportunities to create business value and improve user experience; contribute to the wider XD community at Capgemini.

* Proven ability to create high‑quality concepts, flows, journey mapping, service maps, and wireframes.
* Understanding of inclusive, accessible design practices.
* Experience in rapid paper and digital prototyping.
* Ability to build prototypes using code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, GOV.UK toolkit).
* Knowledge of GitHub, Heroku, Node.js.
* Facilitating workshops, managing research with users, using personas, prototypes, and user journeys.
