About the Role
Reporting into the Transport Manager, the successful Assistant Transport Managerwill beassisting the Transport Manager in delivering a safe & efficient transport service and be responsible for managing all relevant documents and information to deliver the most efficient schedules.
What you'll be doing
In this role, you as the successful Assistant Transport Managerwill be carrying out the following duties and responsibilities (not exhaustive)
Ensuring Tarmac meets all statutory obligations of the rules and regulations in respect of Operator Licence, Transport Legislation and Company procedures
Managing induction, training & development plans and briefings for all drivers
Ensures all drivers are suitably trained, including Driver CPC requirements and customer service training
Ensuring all documents are up to date and appropriately recorded and filed to ensure regulations are fully met
Ensuring Transport Operator Licences are fully legally compliant within the region
Undertaking Health & Safety investigations as required
Deputising for the Transport Manager when requiredWhat we are looking for
We are looking for an Assistant Transport Managerwho is ideally:
In receipt of a Certificate of Professional Competence
Knowledge of Transport legislation regarding ‘O’ Licence, Drivers Hours, Construction and Use Regulations
