We are currently recruiting an experienced/qualified Plumber to join our Property Team in our Basingstoke, Surrey and North Hants locality.
What you'll be doing:
- Complete plumbing repairs and maintenance jobs to SNG's properties in line with work schedules within our Responsive Repairs Team and elsewhere depending on demand.
- Other duties include basic carpentry, plastering, tiling, decorating and other general maintenance tasks.
- Repairs to domestic plumbing installations.
- Installation of replacement sanitary ware and baths, shower trays, level decks and associated equipment.
- Installation of kitchen sinks.
- Installation of new pipe work (copper, speed fit, waste, rainwater).
- Installation of new sundry items such as taps and ball valves.
- Repairs to sundry items.
- Installing and repairing water mains supplies, heating system pipe work and drainage stop taps.
- Installing and fixing domestic appliances like showers and washing machines.
- Vented and unvented cylinder heads (HWSS qualified or alternative).
- Cold water storage tank maintenance and renewal.
What you'll need:
- Minimum of NVQ level 2 or equivalent in Plumbing, or at least five years' experience in this core trade.
- Experience working in occupied premises.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong health and safety mindset with knowledge of best practices.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to use mobile technology such as iPad or PDA.
- Current CSCS card desirable.
- Full and current driving licence with at least one year of driving experience and capability to drive a company van.
Working hours, compensation and benefits
- Full-time role, 40 hours per week.
- Opportunity to supplement salary through call out and overtime at competitive rates.
- Business use van and fuel card will be provided, so you will not be out of pocket.
