Primary Teaching Assistant – Burton

About the Role
In this role, you will actively support teaching and learning across the primary phase. You will:
* Work closely with class teachers to support the delivery of engaging lessons and activities
* Support pupils with reading, writing and maths at various ability levels
* Create and maintain a safe, stimulating and supportive classroom environment
* Provide focused 1:1 and small-group interventions when needed
* Encourage pupils’ social, emotional and academic growth
The Ideal Candidate
Ideally you will have a Level 3 qualification, or equivalent, in Supporting Teaching and Learning. Additionally, you should have experience working with children in a school or similar setting. You will also bring:
* Clear and confident communication skills
* A patient, positive and proactive attitude
* Effective behaviour-management strategies
* The ability to collaborate well with teachers and support staff
* Flexibility and enthusiasm for working across different age groups
* A solid understanding of safeguarding and child development
