The Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin CAMHS services are heading into a new chapter, with a range of exciting job opportunities available.

Our newly developed CHARM (Children's Health and Resilience in Mental Wellbeing) Service will be an early intervention offer to children and young people with mild to moderate health and mental wellbeing problems.

We are looking to recruit a Senior Mental Health Practitioner who in the role will deliver a high quality, comprehensive mental health service for children and young people with emotional health/mental health difficulties.

The role involves managing a defined caseload with a focus on working with children and young people and their families who experience a complex range of needs and difficulties. You will be acting as a key member of the team, and you will provide assessment, psychosocial, evidence-based interventions using a collaborative approach and will be skilled at risk-assessment and management with a specific focus on short term, evidence-based interventions to children, young people and their families from the age of 0-18. With experience in developing and delivering group work. You will provide supervision for other team members as agreed with the Team Lead and Team Manager.

We have options to work at Severnfields in Shrewsbury or Langley School in Telford

1. Take responsibility for the management of a complex caseload, which includes, specialist assessment (within service specification), and care planning in conjunction with service user and carer, evaluation of individual treatment plans for CYP with mental health needs.
2. To set up, organise, plan and deliver focused, evidence based[HD1] interventions work in a variety of mediums to enable children and young people to access resilience and mental health support in timely and accessible ways
3. Responsible for participating in the setting of quality standards, including the auditing, monitoring and reviewing of practice in line with current clinical guidance practice and policy.
4. Assess patient's individual care needs, develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care.
5. Deliver a range of interventions in accordance with the agreed plan of care and Pathway guidance.
6. Complete and contribute, where appropriate to robust risk assessments and risk management plans. Deliver and promote positive risk taking, where appropriate, to improve quality of life and maximise occupational performance/independence.
7. Maintain an effective reporting system by observing and reporting verbally and in writing on patient conditions.
