THE BUSINESS
A leading Renewable Technology Business based in Middlesbrough is seeking to appoint a Solar PV Design Engineer/Estimator to work within a busy office environment. Our client is a leading innovator in the renewable energy sector, committed to driving sustainable solutions for a greener future.
Our client specialises in Commercial/Industrial work creating bespoke solutions for their needs.
THE ROLE
* Managing the initial enquiry from clients/project teams – analysing surveys and energy consumption
* Designing the solar solution for the client – designing to reflect industry codes and regulations
* Utilising the Solar PV design software
* Working to assess and update the client regarding energy grid consumption vs solar consumption
* Using Solar PV to calculate the payback for solar installations. Showcasing how the solar project would reduce energy costs longer term
* Creating quotes and prices based on materials, labour, digs, travel, certifications and margins, etc
* Gaining input from fellow estimators and project engineers to help strengthen and validate quotes
* Revising and following up old quotations based on aspects such as changing technologies, new roofing layouts, drawing changes, etc
* Working with clients
* Following up quotations
THE PERSON
* Highly proficient with Solar PV software
* Able to produce accurate designs
* Experienced creating quotations
* Proficient creating Bills of Materials (BOMs)
* Strong team player
* Strong administrative and organisational duties
