We are currently looking out for the following Data / Communications Trainee Engineers, possibly to suit 18 & 19 year olds to learn and carry out the following. \n\nInstallation of Structured Cabling Systems is utilized for many Modern-Day Networked Technologies, such as - \n⢠Networked Outlets \n⢠Telephony Outlets \n⢠IT Peripheral Devices \n⢠POE Security Cameras \n⢠Wireless Access points \n⢠IPTV \n⢠Fibre Backbone Networks \n⢠PA & AV Installations Summary \n\n⢠Data / Communication Structured cabling engineers fulfil an essential role in the Modern World of Technology by designing / installing the complex cable plans for communication & networked systems, including the layout of structured cabling systems for equipment installations as well as expansions for existing networked systems. In addition, they solve technical engineering problems relating to cable systems. There is a lot of scope within this field. Some data cabling engineers focus on new equipment for telecommunications and structured cabling systems; others work out in the field, installing and working within new and live cabling infrastructures. \n\n⢠Working within various environments from a range of Education, Health, Financial, Construction, MOD and operational building environments with a varied level of prestige clients.\n\nRole Description \n⢠Engineers are also required to install, terminate and test to a high-quality standard as per manufacturerâs guidelines whilst always maintaining a high-quality performance of workmanship. \n⢠Gain knowledgeable on structured cabling with in Copper â Cat 6 / Cat 6A, Voice & Fibre Termination and Testing practices to manufacturers specification. \n⢠Work within various other types of cabling such as Security, Audio Visual, PA, Fibre Optic and Voice backbone, Network & Telephony requirements. \n⢠Problem Solving & Trouble shooting. \n⢠A NVQ Level 7 Qualification on Installation & Inspection of Structured Cabling Systems may be offered to successful applicant. To which may lead to a Modern Apprentices Completion Certificate. \n⢠In house training on Installation practices and termination methods will also be given. \n⢠Health & Safety Training/ Qualifications on the dangers of working within the workplace. \n⢠Career pathway with progression. ⢠How to communicate effectively and appropriately whilst dealing with Clients and / or personnel at all levels up to on-Site Management. \n⢠How to demonstrate the initiative in being Proactive and creative for self-development within and outside of the company. \n⢠How to prioritise effectively and work to set timescales and within programme. \n⢠How to work efficiently and have attention to detail. Skills. \n⢠5 National 5s including English required for the role\n⢠Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook very helpful. \n⢠Must have basic Maths skills. \n⢠Essential to obtain driving licence. \n⢠Up to date knowledge on Modern Technology trends.\n⢠Hardworking and self-motivated. \n⢠Can work well with little supervision individually and within a team environment. \n⢠Have knowledge of basic computer skills and be able to demonstrate good writing
